WordPress Website Design:
The new site was created in WordPress with a responsive, mobile-friendly theme. We created the account on a Saturday evening and launched by Thursday night. It includes drop-down menu items, a contact page, a request for written estimate, and a PayPal linked account for customers to make online payments.
Facebook Business Page:
We created a Facebook page and set up their first couple of posts. It’s advisable for small companies to create frequent posts as well as ensure they are boosted for a minimum of $10 per post to the right target audience.
We began the keyword research & SEO and began optimizing the site for search engines a few days later. Currently the site has zero visibility in the search engines, so it may take longer to achieve 1st and 2nd page search visibility for its target keyword phrases. Google Analytics was set up to track visitors, source/medium, and additional data needed for new customer acquisition.
We set them up with a Bizwatch account and created their first keyword discovery report & SEO report. They are starting with zero rankings < 40th. We expect it will take 1-2 months to establish their first organic rankings based on their current traffic and visibility.
We’ve identified approximately 25 keyword phrases, highly localized since they serve the Columbus, Ohio area. We also recommend Google advertising when budget is available for all small businesses. It takes 8 minutes to show up in Google after a campaign is launched. It’s much easier to determine if a site is attracting the right traffic when you show up in 8 minutes. You then are able to focus on whether those keywords drive qualified leads.
Within two weeks of the new site launch, Henthorne Landscape started to show up again in Google’s organic rankings. They’ve already received his first lead for a walkway, which would more than pay for the cost of his website & SEO. Additional rankings are starting to show up, but SEO takes time. It’s a near-to-long term investment. If you want to show up in less than one hour, then you have to invest in paid search & SEM or Facebook boosted posts. That type of customer acquisition brings immediate visibility & traffic. It’s up to you to turn leads into sales.
